harmony and sustainability through natural stone

State horticultural shows are prestige projects as a structure-promoting measure to increase the attractiveness and awareness of cities for architects.

In order to maintain the elaborate beautification in the long term, planners are increasingly choosing natural stone when choosing the building material – be it for the flooring or individual special elements.

Because natural stone combines visual advantages and diverse design options with robust properties and ecological sustainability.

The fifth Brandenburg State Horticultural Show took place in Prenzlau in 2013.

The 13 hectare site extends from Unteruckersee to Prenzlau’s old town and includes twelve themed gardens.

BESCO supplied 3,500 tons of granite elements, which were used on a large part of the site – from floor slabs and paving stones to wall coverings and edging to bollards.

This large amount not only shows that there are almost no limits to the volume of orders, but also how wide the range of applications for the granite is.

Because the gardens and squares were designed according to individual concepts in which the stone could be integrated through various processing. The radial bezels in particular required a high level of precision in production.
