The Darmstadt science and technology company Merck is celebrating its 350th anniversary in 2018.
As part of the expansion of the corporate headquarters, the centrally located Emanuel-Merck-Platz was redesigned by TOPOTEK 1 and completed at the end of 2017.
The approximately 10,000 m² square acts as a link between the western and eastern parts of the Merck plant and is intended to offer employees free space with seating and green areas.
The natural stone outdoor facilities and seating elements consist exclusively of belgrano® diorite.
This stone impresses with its homogeneity and fits seamlessly into the newly created structure.
Merck is investing a total of around one billion euros in the expansion of its “ONE Global Headquarters” in Darmstadt by 2020, thus making a clear commitment to the company’s German headquarters.
