The redesign of City West is progressing. The newly designed Hertzallee was officially opened on April 20, 2018.
The historical link between Hardenberplatz and Ernst-Reuter-Platz in Berlin has just been extensively renovated for 1.3 million euros.
The Berlin landscape architecture offices Lavaland and Treibhaus are responsible for the design of the new meeting area behind the Bahnhof Zoo.
All natural stone for this project comes from the Berlin stone office BESCO and was delivered directly to the construction site as required.
The central component is the granite strip made of bright belgrano® floor slabs, which is framed by split basalt pavement in Passé and, in conjunction with the unusually white granite pavement, ensures a spatial separation from the surrounding facades.
In the coming years, Hertzallee is to be extended in the direction of Ernst-Reuter-Platz and thus create a new meeting zone on the Charlottenburg campus.
With a uniform material language and proven belgrano® quality, the University of the Arts and the Technical University of Berlin could be linked by the newly created campus.
