Every year, BESCO Berliner Steincontor GmbH takes part in the Bernau Education and Study Fair at Paulus-Praetorius-Gymnasium, inspiring young people from Bernau, Berlin, and Brandenburg to consider careers in the natural stone industry and international trade. The fair provides an excellent opportunity to present the company as a trusted training provider and to offer students practical insights into career paths and study options.
“BESCO thrives on motivated local talent. Each year, we are pleased to give students hands-on insights into our processes, projects, and opportunities, encouraging them to explore a career in the natural stone trade,” said Norman Sacher, Head of Training and Presales Manager at BESCO.
Visitors to the fair had the opportunity to speak with BESCO representatives about the company’s training programs. The focus was on apprenticeships in wholesale and foreign trade management and the dual degree program in Business Administration with a focus on trade.
BESCO also offers flexible internships, allowing participants to explore whether anapprenticeship in wholesale and foreign trade management or a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on trade is the right path. At the stand, BESCO’s young employees shared their experiences from international internships, marketing projects, and day-to-day life as apprentices.
“My apprenticeship in wholesale and foreign trade management was highly practical from the start. I was given responsibility and involved in exciting projects, some of them international. This experience benefits me every day in my current sales role,” said Eric Matti Mieklei, who completed his apprenticeship at BESCO and now leads his own projects in sales.
A highlight at the BESCO stand this year was the prize wheel, which visitors could spin to win small prizes. The interactive activity provided a playful way to engage with potential apprentices while offering a lively introduction to BESCO’s core business: the distribution of natural stone for public construction projects.
BESCO extends sincere thanks to the team, whose dedication at the fair ensured an excellent representation of the company. They provided valuable insights into the natural stone industry while inspiring enthusiasm for a career at BESCO. Special thanks also go to Uwe Bartsch, organizer of the annual fair at Paulus-Praetorius-Gymnasium.
The team looks forward to welcoming new faces soon. Interested candidates can apply directly via the BESCO website for an apprenticeship or dual degree program: Jetzt bewerben.
