BESCO at the Bernau Education and Study Fair 2024

reading time - 2 min

In September, two trainees and a dual-study student, together with their trainer, represented BESCO Berliner Steincontor GmbH at the Bernau Education and Study Fair held at the Paulus-Praetorius-Gymnasium near Berlin.

Focus on regional Talent Development

In a lively atmosphere, surrounded by around 110 other companies and numerous interested young people, there was an opportunity to present the company, gain valuable insights into the needs and questions of future talent, and support them in their career and study choices.

“As a locally based company, it’s especially important for us to invite interested students from the area to get to know our company. So, when we received the invitation to participate in the fair again, we didn’t hesitate. I look forward to seeing who decides to embark on their professional journey with us,” said Norman Sacher, Trainer and Presales Manager at BESCO.

Shaping the future with BESCO: Training and Studies in the Natural Stone Industry

The trainees of BESCO Berliner Steincontor GmbH engaged in numerous conversations with fair visitors, providing information about the company’s training opportunities and dual study programs. Emphasis was placed on presenting exciting career prospects to young talents. BESCO offers flexible internships, allowing interested individuals to explore whether a training program in Wholesale and Foreign Trade Management or a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BWL) with a focus on Trade is the right path for them.

“The trade fair was a great opportunity to showcase the company and make new contacts at the same time. It was fun to show others how diverse a training at BESCO can be,” said Helena Seidler, a second-year trainee.

Contest at the BESCO booth: Visitors guess the weight of a stone

A special highlight at the natural stone supplier’s booth was a contest where visitors could guess the weight of a stone. This competition not only provided an excellent opportunity to engage with potential trainees but also served as a creative way to showcase BESCO’s core business—selling natural stone for public construction projects.

Thank you to everyone involved

A heartfelt thank you goes to our trainees who participated in the fair with great dedication and represented the company excellently. They provided valuable insights into the natural stone industry and sparked interest and excitement about training at BESCO. The team looks forward to welcoming new faces soon! A special thanks also goes to Uwe Bartsch, the organizer of this annual fair.
